* With Stanley Jordan
& With Andre Hayward
From the road:
So yesterday, we had just finished loading in (the last pin into the last video screen!) when the word came down that we would be loading out and postponing the show for a day. The locals and the forecasters had been warning of pending bad weather all day. In the end it seemed to hit all around us except for right here. We feel terrible for having to postpone and are grateful to all who changed their plans to join us tonight. It turned out to be a really great show. It’s been a good 14 years since we played a proper set here in Austin. Dave mentioned that from the stage and then joked “I'm just talking because I get nervous around pretty people.” Stanley Jordan played beautifully on Cry Freedom and Rhyme & Reason. Trombonist Andre Hayward sat-in on Jimi Thing, and crushed it! We're all looking forward to a weekend in Saratoga Springs. Hope to see y'all there.
